SMEDAN, Microsoft conduct training on use of AI to boost businesses in Ogun

 

 

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN and Microsoft Nigeria have collaborated to train no fewer than 500 market men, women, and youths on how they can use Artificial Intelligence to boost their businesses.

The one-day training which was done both online and physically held at Abeokuta capital of ogun state on Tuesday.

According to SMEDAN, the major reason for the training is to help small business owners in Ogun boost their sales.

Speaking with journalists, Assistant Director of SMEDAN, Dr Funto Babarinde hinted that the training which focuses on fashion designers, Real estate agencies, service providers, and retailers is aimed at helping them to know the essence and usefulness of smartphones which they use beyond WhatsApp, Tik-Tok and other social media platforms.

She said the AI training will help the beneficiaries to make more money in their business sectors.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Dare Rukayat Tolulope, said the training was impactful and an eye opener because it will help her to solve her long time problem in business planning.

“Its a solution to a problem I’ve been having, so some time now I have been having problem with my business plan and thank God I now know that AI can solve the problem for me.”

Also a System Analyst, Jimoh Ayo said the training has been wonderful because the use of AI is applicable to every firm.

“I have learnt how AI can help to improve my work as a system analyst and I promised to use the training judiciously,” he said.
