Lagos Assembly passes VAT, grazing bills

Lagos State Assembly has passed a bill prohibiting open cattle grazing in the state.

The lawmakers also passed the State’s Value Added Tax (VAT) bill.

Speaker, Chief Mudashiru Obasa directed the Acting Clerk of the House, Mr Olalekan Onafeko to transmit clean copies to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assent.

The 2 bills were passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers at the sitting where the legislations were read the 3rd time.

The House held separate public hearings on the bills yesterday with stakeholders expressing support. (VON)
