President Muhammadu Buhari
The Nigerian government has promised to consolidate its various Social Intervention and Economic Sustainability Programmes to avoid a repeat of recession in the country.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Mr Ajuri Ngelale stated this on Radio Nigeria Good Governance and Public Accountability Programme, “Have Your Say”.
Mr Ngelale said, President Muhammadu Buhari is desirous of providing the needed alternative sources of livelihood for Nigerians to alleviate their economic challenges through the export expansion programmes.
Contributing to the programme Ada Unogwu from Jos and Mr Ovunna Dicklan who attributed insecurity to the high rate of inflation in the country call on the Government to live up to its responsibility and focus more on diversification of the nation’s economy.
Also, Ada Odaze from Illah in Delta State urged Nigerians to support the present administration to succeed and thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for infrastructural development in the country.
Responding to some of the questions by the callers, The SSA to the President on Public Affairs pointed out that, the Federal Government was mindful of the economic challenges as it’s working hard to ensure better welfare of the people.
