The event, held at the Excellent Event Centre in Agbako’s hometown of Abeokuta, was a star-studded affair, with respected actors and filmmakers from Nigeria’s film industry in attendance.
The highlight of the occasion was Tampa’s presenting of a precious gift to Agbako: a giant frame recognising his illustrious career and effect on the film business.
A close friend of Agbako, renowned director Tunde Kelani, captured the spirit of the party on his Instagram page, saying, “Happening now in Abeokuta City, bumper celebration, for the oldest thespian in Nigeria, Charles Olumo Sanyaolu at 100.” “Thank you very much, Tampa.”
The President of TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr. Latin, thanked God for the success of the historic event. “It went well,” he said.
Agbako’s artistic journey serves as an inspiration to future generations of actors and filmmakers, with more than seven decades of acting greatness under his belt.
His contributions to Nigerian movies have earned him a position in entertainment history.
