More economic hardship still coming – Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele

In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the prophet commended President Tinubu for his intervention in the Naira devaluation issue but maintained that the government hasn’t done the right thing to tackle economic hardship in the country.

He noted that things are still going to be expensive and there will still be more inflation except the government improves agriculture and ensures Nigeria produces and refines petroleum products in the country.

“I want to commend the federal government for the improvement experienced in the value of our Naira. The government has done tremendously well and indeed, deserves to be appreciated. The act saved Nigeria from a huge crisis. However, things are still going to be very expensive, there will still be more inflation in the country. The best things the government can do are to look for ways we can be producing and refining our oil here in order to improve the economy and improving agriculture.’’

“There are some hidden things Nigerians don’t know. Economic hardship is still fully around in the country. I said that there will be increase in electricity tariffs, Nigerians will still cry out about the issue of electricity.’’

Primate Ayodele added that the government has more to do. He called on the federal government to create another economic formula, stating that the perceived economic improvement will only be a façade except the government tackles it the right way instead of cutting corners.

He further explained that if the government doesn’t do the right thing about Nigeria’s economy, more problems will be created while trying to solve the present one.

“Economic hardship is still lurking around; there is more for the government to do. The masses will still be struggling and there will still be an increase in tariffs in the telecommunication sector. The economic situation will affect banks and stock exchange. The president should change the strategy of approaching the economic problems; another formula that will help the country should be created. The economy is still shaking and what Nigerians see now as improvement will be a façade if the government doesn’t tackle it the right way or else, we will buy pure water sachet for N100, Coke for N800, a tuber of yam for N2000, Local rice for N50000, a stick of corn for N500, more states will still face salaries issues, the government will be looking for so many ways to recover the economy but it should be done the right way if not, we will only create another problem while trying to solve one.’’
