Sanwo-Olu goes tough, removes LAWMA CEO, LTV GM from office

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has removed the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Ibrahim Odumboni from office.

Also removed from office is the General Manager, Lagos Television (LTV), Siju Alabi.

A letter from the Office of the Head of Service (HOS), dated June 9 and sighted by PM NEWS, asked Odumboni to vacate office immediately.

The letter was signed by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola. He was asked to hand over to the next in command, Kunle Adebiyi, who is the Executive Director, Finance of the authority and he is currently acting.

Odumboni was made LAWMA MD/CEO on 31 August, 2020.

In the case of Siju Alabi, she was ordered by the governor to proceed on compulsory leave some weeks back and will not be returning as GM of LTV.

Sola Kosoko is currently acting as the GM, LTV.

Alabi was appointed LTV GM by former Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode and has been so till the end of Sanwo-Olu’s first term.

Alabi’s reign at LTV had been thorny as staff kicked against the way she was running the state’ television station.

In 2022, it was gathered that some staff of the station moved against her re-appointment.
