Kano Assembly screens 19 Commissioner-nominees

Kano State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, screened 19 Commissioner-nominees transmitted to the House by the State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The Commissioner-nominees were screened during a Plenary Session presided over by the Speaker, Ismail Jibrin Falgore.

The screening commenced after a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Lawan Husaini Dala, member representing Dala Constituency and was seconded by Muhd Salisu Ibrahim, member representing Doguwa Constituency .

The Commissioner-nominees answered various questions posed to them by members of the Assembly to ascertain their eligibility or otherwise to serve as members of Governor Yusuf’s cabinet.

After the screening, the Majority Leader, Lawan Husaini Dala, moved a motion for adjournment.

The House was adjourned to Thursday for confirmation of the Commissioner-nominees.
