Tizeti names Emmanuel Ikazoboh as new chairman, appoints new board members

Tizeti Network Limited (www.Tizeti.com), the pioneer solar-powered internet service provider in West Africa, today announced the appointment of Emmanuel Ikazoboh as Chairman of its Board of Directors.

Emmanuel Ikazoboh is the former Group President of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), President of ARM Pensions Managers Limited, and International Vice President of the International Institute for Sustainable Development in Canada. He is an independent/non-executive director of Nampak Packaging Limited South Africa and Dangote Cement Plc.

He was appointed Administrator of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and helped transform the Nigerian Stock Exchange as well as the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), and was responsible for restructuring the management, stock market, stock brokerage and corporate governance structure of both entities. to create an enviable stock market in Africa.

Emmanuel Ikazoboh has previously held positions as President/CEO of Deloitte West & Central Africa; Managing Partner of Deloitte Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and Director of Client Service at Deloitte Africa. He also served as a partner at Deloitte & Touche in Dartford, UK, and brings an international perspective to Tizeti’s business. He is a member of the Presidential Committee for Restructuring the Nigerian Government Ministries, Agencies and Commissions and Reducing the Cost of Governance.

He has an MBA in Financial Management from the University of Manchester Business School, is certified as a UK Chartered Accountant and has fellowships with the Association of Chartered Accountants and the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

The other new Tizeti board members include Ing. Okechukwu Obiagwu and Patricia Aiyedun. Okechukwu Obiagwu is an electrical/electronic engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. He previously worked at Halliburton Energy Service for 19 years, rising to Senior Leadership as Country Manager for the Wireline and Perforing division, before exploring his interests in clean/alternative energy, oil and gas services and e-commerce. He is a graduate of Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt.

Patricia Aiyedun is the financial director of inq. Digital (formerly Vodacom Business Africa) and has 16 years of extensive professional service experience. Her experience covers due diligence in M&A transactions, financial reporting, auditing and advisory. Previously, she worked as a senior manager at the Big 4 firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and began her career at Diamond Bank. She earned her first degree from the University of Ibadan, she is a member of the Nigerian Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has acquired numerous certifications.
