NCDMB, GACN, Infini signs gas supply agreement

The Content Development and Monitoring Board of Nigeria (NCDMB), the Nigerian Gas Aggregation Company (GACN) and Infini Power Limited (Infini) signed a Gas Supply Partnership Agreement to support the NCDMB’s industrial parks of power generation.

The parks are located on Emeyal 1 in the Ogbia local government area, Bayelsa and in Odukpani, on Cross River.

The agreement was signed at Yenagoa, NCDMB Secretary Simbi Wabote and GACN Managing Director, Mr Olalekan Ogunleye, and Mr Mallison Ukatu from Infini.

This event took place on the sidelines of the 10th Nigerian Content Forum held in Yanagoa on Wednesday.

At the beginning of the panel discussion, GED Gas and Power NNPC Malam Abdulkabir Ahmed listed several steps to ensure the optimization of opportunities in the gas sector and to grow the sector.

GACN’s CEO stated that this was the perfect time for the business community to invest in gas development given the prioritization of gas for economic growth Government, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, NNPC and NCDMB.

Ogunleye said the government and the NNPC have provided a conducive environment for investment in gas, large or small, and the commerciality of such opportunities would unlock the fiction.

The panel participants agreed that the gas sector is the centre of opportunities and encouraged investors and serious stakeholders to participate.  (NAN)
