Kebbi Gov presents over N189.2bn budget

The Kebbi State Government has presented over N189.2 billion budget proposal for the 2022 fiscal year to the House of Assembly. 

Presenting the proposal before the floor of the State House of Assembly, Governor Abubakar Bagudu, said the recurrent expenditure account was over N61 billion while capital expenditure stands at over N128 billion.

According to the Governor, the proposed revenues to finance the budget are statutory allocation from the federation account estimated in the sum of over N74.9 billion while the Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) stands at N14.1 billion.

The budget tagged “Budget of Economic Consolidation” is a budget that will meet the needs of the citizens and guarantees opportunities in the face of difficulties and challenges.

Governor Atiku Bagudu revealed that his administration has done well in the implementation of the 2021 budget.

The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Lolo, assured a speedy passage of the budget for the betterment of the people in the state.
