Ministry of Agriculture to boost agro-businesses

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development has reaffirmed its determination in providing assorted seeds for planting and other support to farmers, with the aim of boosting agro-business in the country.

The coordinator of the Ministry in Kano Alhaji Abba Gana Yamani stated this during the distribution of seeds and other farm inputs to farmers, organized by the department of Agro business in collaboration with the Institute of Agricultural Research Ahamdu Bello University Zaria, held in Kano.

He said the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development was working tirelessly in ensuring that assorted seeds and farm inputs were being distributed to farmers across the country aimed at Enhancing Agro business and boosting food production.

He said the materials distributed to the farmers include assorted seeds, empty cartons of storing tomatoes among others.

Alhaji Abba Gana Yamani noted that over two hundred farmers selected from the 44 local Government Areas of the state benefitted from Gesture.

The Director charged the beneficiaries to make maximum utilization of the items given to them, He advised them to reciprocate the Gesture by being Committed and Dedicated to ensuring that the stated Goals were being Achieved.

Malam Musa Alasan from Garun Malam Local Government Area and Rabiu Suleiman from Kura local Government Area were among the beneficiaries, they applauded the Foresight of the federal Ministry of Agriculture and rural development for the kind gesture and promised to make maximum utilization of material aimed at Achieving the set objectives.
