Ebonyi passes ease of doing business law

Ebonyi State Government has created an enabling environment to make doing business very easy in the State.

The Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Nwifuru said the House of Assembly has passed a revenue law Which now makes business easy to do in Ebonyi.

He was speaking to Journalists while commissioning a Restaurant in Abakaliki the State Capital.

“I encourage all Ebonyi people who are outside their developing other states to come home and develop their own state.”

“There is nothing like over taxation in the State. We have tax law of the National Assembly and also Revenue Law of Ebonyi State Which cuts across all Local Government Areas of the State. If you want to know whether anybody is overtaxing you, get the law from the court and ministry of justice for a guide,” he added.

The Chief Executive Officer of the new Restaurant, Chief Kester Agwu Okikeuzor said he decided to embark on the business to provide services to Ebonyi people, to create employment for the youths and to improve the economy of the State.

He said, “I am highly impressed with the level of turnout of customers trooping in to patronise us. We must continue to satisfy them at all times”.

“By the grace of God, I have employed over 500 workers, this has reduced the level of unemployment in the State.”

An invited guest, Mr Tony Abel said he was happy with the development.

One of the Organisers of the event, Mrs Ebere Annia called on Ebonyi people who are investing in other States to come home and show examples by investing in the state as well, adding that this would attract more investors to the state.
