Kaduna State Government has disclosed that a multi-billion naira iron ore mining company will commence operations in the state in 2022.
The Governor of Kaduna, Malam Nasir el-Rufai who made this known on the verified Facebook page of the state governor said the plant located at Gujeni, Kargarko Local Government Area of the state was a $600 million investment.
The mining plant located about 19km from Abuja is situated on over 500 hectares of land with an expected workforce of over 3,500 direct jobs and over 10,000 indirect jobs.
Currently, the plant is under construction and the first phase is about to be completed and will resume operations by January 2022.
