The Nigeria Customs Service is to conduct verification for all privately owned aircrafts in the country.
The Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller Joseph Attah stated this at a press briefing in Abuja.
DC Attah said the exercise became necessary to ensure the authenticity of their registration and compliance with strict relevant regulations governing the importation of aircrafts.
The Public Relations Officer also said the service has generated about N800 billion between January and May 30.
DC Attah said customs achieved this feat due to strict implementation of extant rules and automation of the process.
