La Campagne offers 20% holiday discount to Sterling Bank customers

Holidaymakers and visitors to the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort will get a 20 per cent discount if they use Sterling Bank debit cards. The bank and Nigeria’s top beach resort partnered to offer discounts on services every time a Sterling Bank card is used at the resort by holidaymakers.

Otunba Olawanle Akinboboye, Founder, La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resorts, said the discount offer would incentivise Nigerians seeking beach holidays, African hospitality, and culture in a cosmopolitan manner. It will also subsidise the resort’s clientele that savours its clean beach, lagoon and mangrove forest, tropical flora, fauna, kingfishers, seahawks, egrets, and ducks.

According to Akinboboye, the incentive became necessary post-COVID-19 lockdown to stimulate domestic tourism. The tourism icon disclosed that some countries are subsidising holidaymakers to revive tourism by backing hotels through intervention funds to offer discounts, free nights, and car hire.

On his part, Divisional Head, Retail and Consumer Banking, Sterling Bank, Mr. Shina Atilola, described the 20 per cent discount on service at the La Campagne Tropicana Beach resort as a private sector initiative and intervention in tourism similar to Switzerland’s cash offer to her citizens to spend on holidays at home.

“We introduced the discount initiative post-COVID-19 lockdown to stimulate the domestic tourism sector. Nations across the world are taking definitive steps to revive the sector. For instance, the Japanese government offered up to $184 in subsidies and free vouchers per day to revive its domestic tourism sector. This partnership with La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resorts seeks to achieve the same purpose,” Atilola remarked.

La Campagne Tropicana is a serene and pristine beach resort located in Ikegun Village, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. The resort is ideal for honeymoons, corporate retreats and conferences, family getaways, getaways, destination proposals and weddings.
