Donald Trump's brother, Robert, is dead

US President Donald Trump lost his younger brother, Robert, on Saturday night after battling with an undisclosed illness.

Trump, in a statement, said, “It is with a heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight.

“He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”

Reports have it that Trump had visited his brother a day before his death, staying with his for 45 minutes.

The media had reported that Robert had fallen gravely ill, however, it was not revealed what the illness was.

Trump had said to reporters that Robert was “having a hard time.”

Robert had always played a vital role in the politics of family, as he filed an injunction at court to block a tell-all book by Trump’s niece Mary Trump titled, ‘Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.’
